05 – National Nature Reserves
SNPN’s daily commitment to wetland environments includes managing three national reserves in wetland areas. Within the national reserves of Camargue, Grand-Lieu, and the Plaine des Maures, dedicated teams work tirelessly to fulfill their entrusted mission. SNPN employees handle reserve management, taking into account the stakeholders who live and work in these areas. They protect the environments and their biodiversity from the dangers of climate change, urban sprawl, pollution risks, and invasive species. Moreover, they raise awareness among the general public about the beauty and richness of these territories, aiming to reconcile society with nature.
